My husband grew up on a farm by the sea in Ireland where there wasn't much entertainment around. His father used to tell the kids to keep an eye on the field - so that no whales would come up from the bank and eat all the grass that was meant for the cows. So the young siblings would run around the field all day chasing the whale. A great way to keep children occupied :) I always thought this was a lovely story, so now I'm turning it into a picture book.
